Olympics mixed relay triathlon training cancelled over water quality concerns
·1 min
Training for the final Olympics triathlon event in Paris has been canceled due to concerns over water quality. Scheduled familiarization sessions for the mixed relay did not include the swimming portion following tests on the conditions. The decision to cancel the swim leg was made in anticipation of a drop in water quality due to heavy rain. The bike and run familiarizations went ahead as planned. The mixed relay event involves four competitors completing a sprint triathlon as a team. France and Great Britain won gold in the women’s and men’s individual events, respectively.
